I booked a VR session with my friends. I arrived 20m early as the email confirmation asked us, but when I spoke to the staff member he said I had to wait until my appointment time so we stood around waiting. A few minutes before it was time to get start he told us that we all have to complete a waiver before beginning and it'll eat into our session if it's not done by the appointment time... Don't know why he didnt tell me when we first arrived to check in 15m earlier. He also didn't seem to care to assist us properly unless we took off the headset and stalked him down. We watched a prep video but it didn't cover some simple controls that were important to know, and staff neglected to tell us until one of us went to ask and then would share with the rest of the group...Also one the machines was freezing and glitching and my friend lost 30m of activity because the staff member didn't take her seriously when she said the controller wasn't working properly. The staff here really doesn't seem to care about the customer experience, which is really disappointing at almost $30 a person for 50m of play time.. Would not recommend or come again.

Great place, fun games. Had an amazing time. Took our daughter for her first VR experience and she can't stop talking about it afterwards. The only down was that my station was a bit glitchy and required manual assistance in exiting the game, otherwise, it was an awesome experience.

Unfortunately a whole bunch of (probably preventable) software and hardware glitches made our experience subpar. 2 out of the 3 of us had to move booths, and still had problems. The VR when it did work was awesome, but this place needs to do preventative maintenance.

This location is the worst. I have been to the locations in Brampton and Hamilton which were both very professional. 1 of the 2 guys here tried to help but it was just a mess overall. We get there and they don't even know they have a reservation. In their defense I did book an hour ahead of our time, so for the employees I will give them that one. When you start they are supposed to show you a tutorial on how to use the headset and controls. But for whatever reason they couldn't get it to work. (I guess no one comes to this location or something). So my brother and his wife had no idea how to use their headsets. Our booths weren't networked together when we got there, so playing together was via online network which seemed slower and laggy. At one point we couldn't even connect together. It's only 3 of us with 5 empty booths. Surely they must have half that work okay. Nope. The headset probably goes through hell at this location as it is tied to a very loud arcade where people can drink. I'm all about drinking but this is some fragile expensive equipment they got. My brother and his sister had issue with their sound. My headset had sound in 1 ear only. The cord attaching the headset was too short so I kept getting wrapped in it. Some of the games didn't work properly and I had to keep exiting hoping it would resolve the issue. My brother and his wife each had to be moved to a different booth. At the end I told the guy that Beat Saber didn't work. His reply was that it's the most popular game. Great. At the time I didn't dwell on it too much because I was dealing with my brother and sisters problems. If they guy working felt he answered a lot of their issues, my whole experience was helping them through laggy broken audio. This place is bad. It's loud because of where it is. The equipment isn't maintained. If you are reading this and thinking of going to Ctrl V, please do, just not this location. If you are looking to pound back some beers and blow some cash and get frustrate, by all means come here. Some of my problems might be nitpicking but if you are paying that much money it should not be this bad of an experience. I'd like to finish by saying that one of the employees tried. He helped as best he could. The other guy looked as tho we ruined his night by coming.

I've recently had my first VR experience in Calgary so I have something to compare to. Overall it's a nice facility. I would however want to suggest that staff takes a bit more time to help players with setup - our audio chat wasn't working, we've been a bit lost setting up multiplayer for some of the games. In my previous experiences staff would be there to help with these questions right away so that the game time could be maximized.

Awesome. Had a great time staff was amazing and it's conveniently located inside a restaurant so you can grab a bite after. The price is steep but if you can look past it it's a great time.

Identical in layout and performance to all other CTRLV locations, and in that respect it's more than adequate, but this particular location suffers due to being attached to GameTime. The huge entrance to the VR room is fully open to the main arcade, whose awful music and extreme noise is so overwhelming you can barely hear what's coming out of the earpieces on your HTC Vive helmet. I would strongly recommend going to any other CTRLV location - avoid this one like the plague - until they wall up that gaping entrance and put in a glass door for soundproofing.
